Armenian president appoints new head of mission to NATO

Yerevan, 10 September: The Armenian president has appointed Samvel
Mkrtchyan head of the Armenian mission to NATO.

Mediamax news agency reported that by another decree of the Armenian
president, the Armenian ambassador to the Benelux countries and the
European Union, Vigen Chitechyan, has been dismissed from the post
of head of the Armenian mission to NATO.

Samvel Mkrtchyan headed the European department of the Armenian
Foreign Ministry until his appointment to the post of head of the
mission to NATO.
