"ARBUN" BRAND ESTABLISHED TO DISTINGUISH ARMENIAN BRANDY FROM OTHER BRANDIES

YEREVAN, MAY 20, NOYAN TAPAN. At the May 20 session, the Armenian
government made a decision to establish the brand "Arbun" in order
to distinguish Armenian brandy from other brandies and not to mislead
consumers.
Armenian Minister of Agriculture Samvel Galstian said that all the
specialized bodies gave their recommendations, based on which the
brand "Arbun" has been chosen. According to him, along with Arbun,
other versions such as Arben, Arbeni, Arkon, Barkon, Gineak, Ginayr
and Armenak were presented for discussion. The brand "Arbun" will be
used along with "brandy" label for several years so that the brand
will receive recognition.
