BRITISH MPS TO RAISE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE ISSUE IN PARLIAMENT

Members of the British-Armenian parliamentary friendship group will
do their utmost to raise public awareness of the Armenian Genocide,
said John Whittingdale, a Conservative MP for Maldon & East Chelmsford.

He said the delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial and
Museum Institute. "I will share impressions when I am back to Britain.

I will also organize an exhibition on the Armenian Genocide to tell
my colleague about the tragedy of Genocide," the MP said.

For her part, member of the House of Lords, Baroness Caroline Cox
regretted that Turkey still denies the Genocide. "Any unrecognized
Genocide paves way for further crimes. Recognition and condemnation
of this crime against humanity is a demand of justice. Not being an
Armenian, I know that the wounds will never heal, if the Genocide
    remains unrecognized," she said.

She believes that Turks themselves want recognition of the Armenian
Genocide, as people can't live in lies. "It's sad that the Turkish
government is afraid to tell the truth," the Baroness said.
