TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Armed Forces, in a series of military
operations, inflicted heavy losses upon antigovernment fighters in
    Idlib countryside.

Several dens and gatherings of al-Nusra Front terrorists and a
factory for manufacturing rockets were destroyed in Syrian soldiers'
operations, a military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency,
adding that a number of militants were killed in Ma'arrat al-Nu'man
    in Idlib countryside.

The source added that an army unit targeted gunmen in Kafrshillaya
and foiled rebels' attempt to detonate 62 explosive devices planted
on the roads of the town.

Meantime, an army unit destroyed militants' weapons including 14.5 mm
machine guns in Mara'ian town while another unit killed a number of
insurgents in Blashtoon and al-Maghara and destroyed their equipment
    and weapons.

Terrorists linked to al-Nusra Front were killed and wounded in
Kansafrah town by the soldiers of the Syrian army.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized
attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border
guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have
been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups
for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated
    from abroad.

In October 2011, calm was almost restored in the Arab state after
President Bashar al-Assad started a reform initiative in the country,
but Israel, the US, its Arab allies and Turkey sought hard to bring the
country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and
some Arab capitals have been staging various plots to topple President
Assad, who is well known in the world for his anti-Israeli stances.
