Armenian judoist Robert Vardanyan (60 kg) could not get a medal at
the World Judo Championship in Rotterdam, Holland.
Having been defeated by Rinat Ibragimov Armenian sportsman had chances
to win a bronze medal in case Rinat Ibragimov (Kazakhstan) moved to
semifinal, but the latter failed.
However, this World championship was a success for Armenia. It is
the first time Armenian judoist (Hovhannes Davtyan) was awarded with
a medal.
