TURKISH OPPOSITION: A MAN PREPARING REPORT FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO SOLVE KURDISH PROBLEM IS AN AUTHOR OF TURKEY-ARMENIA "ROAD MAP"

Baku - APA. Senior Fellow of the US Atlantic Council David L. Phillips,
who is preparing the report for the government to solve Kurdish
problem, was a chairman of the Turkey-Armenia coordination council
initiated by the United States government.

APA reports quoting ANKA that Deputy Chairman of Turkey's opposition
party CHP, MP, former ambassador of Turkey to NATO Onur Oyman informed
about it. According to him, it proves that the Turkish Government
takes all these steps under the influence of foreign circles. Oyman
noted that 3 Turkish members of Turkey-Armenia commission expressed
their concern over the organization's activity and resigned, but
others prepared the "Road Map" and submitted it to the governments
of both countries. Despite the details of the "Road Map" are not
made public, some sources report that the document reflects the
unconditional opening of Turkey-Armenia borders: "President Obama did
not talk about any conditions during his speech in Turkish Parliament,
but wanted Turkey to open its borders and normalize relations with
Armenia. After the Obama's speech, some AKP MPs supported the
US president's initiative. However, after Azerbaijani President
Ilham Aliyev's strong objection, the Turkish Prime Minister visited
Azerbaijan and declared that Turkey-Armenia border will not be opened
unless the Nagorno-Karabakh problem is resolved".

It should be noted that Turkish Government declares that serious
steps will be taken for the solution of Kurdish problem. But the
details of these steps are not known yet.
