A clash broke out in Turkey's Grand National Assembly between the
ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement
    Party (NMP) members.

As reported by Turkish media, AKP member Bekir Bozdag, during the
supplementary session, had presented an agenda item on hijabs. NMP
member Osman Durmuc, in turn, said that ruling party members relate
to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a "prophet." On the topic
of hijabs, Durmuc brought forth the example of the PM's wife, speaking
of her with disdain and scorn.

It was when Erdogan approached the podium to respond to the
nationalist MPs' statements that a squirmish broke out between AKP
    and NMP parliamentarians.

According to Turkish media, this was one of the most vicious outbreaks
that took place in Turkey's parliament in recent years.
