Rasim Musabeyov "Azerbaijan has contact points with Israel.

Azerbaijan purchases modern, high-tech Israeli weapons, no one else
is selling such weapons to us. Israel also gets Azeri oil estimated
at $4 bn annually", said political analyst Rasim Musabekov.

According to him, we are a very important source of oil purchase for
Israelis, because Arabs and Iran do not sell oil them. Therefore,
Israel is interested in diversifying energy supplies.

"Relations with Azerbaijan are important for Israel, by this they show
that Israel is not purely an anti-Muslim country. Besides, we are a
market where this country has fixed its positions and from where it
    intends to receive incomes.

Israelis are aware of some tensions between Azerbaijan and
Iran, therefore, naturally, they tend to use it in order to raise
influence on Azerbaijan. As for Iran's resentment, this country should
understand that Azerbaijan is also not happy with the Iranian-Armenian
relations. Iran is not looking back on Azerbaijan when building its
    relations with Armenians".

R.Musabekov does not believe that Lieberman came to trade with the
Jewish attitude towards the Armenian Diaspora in Baku.

"I do not see what would unite the Jewish and the Armenian diasporas,
except for temporary, tactical coordination, caused by tensions in
the relations between Turkey and Israel. Jews can demonstrate the
visibility of rapprochement with Armenia to Ankara that protected
the rights of Palestinians only in order to warn Turks against
the untraditional Turkish anti-Israel policies. In general, the
interests of Armenians and Jews are absolutely not the same. The
Armenian diaspora in the Arab world interacts with the most radical,
anti-Semitic Arab organizations. So there is no reason for Azerbaijan
to worry about the split between the Jewish and Armenian diasporas".
