February 19, RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations initiates
preliminary hearings on Armenia-Turkey Protocols "On the Establishment
of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the
Republic of Turkey and "On Development of Relations between the
Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Turkey."
February 12, the documents were submitted to RA National Assembly. On a
point of order, international treaties are mandatory put on NA agenda,
thereafter on the agenda of a 4-day session.
Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Edward Nalbandian and Ahmet
Davutoglu signed the Protocols in Zurich, on October 10, 2009.
The documents should be approved by both countries' Parliaments.
