ArmInfo. "The goal of the criminal prosecution against me is
appropriation of our new enterprise and infringement of our
reputation", says the statement made by Chairman of Board of
Armeconombank, co-founder of SIL Concern Saribek Sukiasyan, Friday,
commenting on institution of a criminal case against him under Article
133 Part 2 Clauses 1 and 7 of the Armenian Criminal Code.

To recall, on 12 February Sukiasyan was taken to the police department
of Erebouni. He was accused of the fact that on pain of death he tried
to make Director of Audit company Gor Davtyan sign some documents on
a transaction concerning purchase and sale of Byuregh company. On 15
February Sukiasyan was released on his own recognizance.

In his statement Sukiasyan says that he refused to sign some document
and familiarize himself with the accusations as he considered them
to be groundless, and that the criminal case was fabricated on false
bases. "The goal of this prosecution is appropriation of our new
enterprise and infringement of our reputation",- says the statement.

However, according to the entrepreneur, the political motives of the
prosecution are known to everybody and its initiators will fail to
gain their goal. "I hope the day will come when we will publish the
names of all members of the gang wishing to take away our property.

We are guided only by business thinking",- says the statement.

To recall, at the presidential election in 2008 Saribek Sukiasyan's
brother, the former Armenian MP Khachatur Sukiasyan supported the
candidacy of Levon Ter-Petrosyan. After the tragic events in Yerevan
in March 2008 Khachatur Sukiasyan was put on the wanted list. In
September 2009 Khachatur Sukiasyan yielded himself to the authorities
and was released on his own recognizance.
