In round 9 of the Linares chess tournament, Armenia's Grand Master
Levon Aronian again, traditionally, played in draw, this time with
Boris Gelfand, and at 4,5 points seeded the third.
Veselin Topalov unexpectedly lost to Alexander Grischuk; however,
both chess players are tournament's leaders at 5,5 points each.
Vugar Gashimov - Francisco Vallejo set ended in draw; Boris Gelfand
and Vugar Gashimov at 4 points share the forth position; Francisco
Vallejo at 3,5 points closes the tournament table.
The final tenth round will take place today. Levon Aronian is reported
to play white against Vugar Gashimov. Veselin Topalov will play against
Boris Gelfand, and Francisco Vallejo will play with Alexander Grischuk.
