The OSCE Minsk Group (MG) is not interested in resolution of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad
Bagir Behrami told journalists at today's news conference.

"OSCE MG is not interested in the conflict resolution," he said. "Iran
proposes to fairly solve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through using
    its potential."

He added that given Iran's relations with its neighbors, as well as
its regional and international position, the country can contribute
    to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.

"OSCE MG has been intending to solve the conflict for over 18 years.

However, the conflict has not been resolved yet. Ensure of the regional
security will contribute to its development. Resolution of the conflict
through the negations is of benefit of region," Behrami said.

He said the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved within the
territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Iran has always recognized
    Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

Some non-regional countries, as well as some forces within the two
countries, do not want the Iranian-Azerbaijani relations to develop,
    he added.

Regarding the statement of the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia on that
the Nagorno-Karabakh is the only country bordering with Iran, Behrami
said the information contradicts the reality. " How can it be that
the ambassador of a country that supports the territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan, spoke against it? I, on behalf of the Iranian government,
the Foreign Ministry and the Iranian ambassador to Armenia, refute
    this information," he said.

"Iran, which has a joint border with the Nagorno-Karabakh, will
state about its position and decision on issue of composition of the
peacekeeping forces to be placed in this territory," the Iranian
Ambassador to Armenia said earlier at the news conference while
replying to the question asked about possible placement of the
    peacekeeping forces in the Nagorno-Karabakh.
