    ARMENPRESS
    APRIL 20, 2011
    YEREVAN

YEREVAN, APRIL 20, ARMENPRESS: Ashot Ghulyan, chairman of the
National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, received today
the delegation, headed by Baroness Caroline Cox, chairperson of
    the UK Parliament's British-Armenian All-Party Parliamentary Group,
member of the British House of Lords. The delegation is on a short
    visit to Stepanakert.

An official from the NKR NA press service told Armenpress that the
delegation comprised of Baroness Shreela Flather, member of the House
of Lords, John Witingdale, member of the House of Commons, Anthony
Abajyan and Odette Basil - delegation secretaries. "I emphasize
especially the first visit of my parliament colleagues, as it is
interesting for them to know the Nagorno Karabakh better, to get
acquainted with the rout you passed, to be informed about the current
developments of the conflict settlement," Baroness Caroline Cox said.

"I have heard for many time the name of "Nagorno Karabakh",
especially from Lady Cox, and I am happy that at last I am here and
can see it with the eyes of a friend, get acquainted with the life
of your people," Baroness Shreela Flather said. The NKR NA chairman
presented to the guests the rout the republic passed within 20 years,
the difficulties, the people of Artsakh managed to overcome with
their own power, and the fact that in assistance with Armenia and
Diaspora, they managed to restore the country, which was destroyed
because of the war, to build, strengthen its independent statehood,
which is true to universal democratic values.
