PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Police chief, lieutenant general Alik
Sargsyan, denies reports on having joint business with Margar Ohanyan,
Road Police head, who was detained on August 30.

"I don't know the sources of these rumors but I would like those
who spread them to mention just one name of the alleged enterprise,"
he told journalists on September 1.

Sargsyan also stated that investigation regarding Ohanyan's case are
under way but refused to make any comment.

Road Police head, colonel Margar Ohanyan is charged of abuse of power
and embezzlement under article 301.1 and 179.3 of the RA Criminal
Code. According to Armenian media reports, the 6th police department
has been inspecting the road police system over the past month. Some
reports suggest that the inspections were conducted by the order of
RA Police chief Alik Sargsyan, who "strives for Ohanyan's resignation
    by any means."
