    WILL ERDOGAN MANAGE?

    http://times.am/?l=en&p=3588

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met his Norwegian
counterpart who visited Ankara and then held a joint press conference
with him. Bill on criminalization of denial of Armenia Genocide
accepted by French Senate was also on agenda.

According to CNN Turk one of the journalists reminded Erdogan that he
published a list of sanctions against France after French NA accepted
the bill. And now it is known that French Senate will discuss the
bill on December 23. The journalist wanted to know whether Turkey
was going to hold other steps towards the issue as well.

Erdogan answered that Turkey would follow the eight sanctions which
have already been published. He again asked French diplomats not to
discuss such bills and leave the issue to the historians.

Remind the list of sanctions by Turkey:

Turkish Ambassador is called back from Paris (by the way he is already
    sent back).

Military, financial, economical and other types of cooperation are
    cut off.

    Joint military exercises are delayed.

All political consultations with France are delayed.

French military planes must get permission for every flight.

Cooperation with France will not be included in the frame of
cooperation with the EU ~UFrench military ships will not have
permission to enter to the Turkish ports.

Turkish side will not participate in the Turkey-France economical
    conference planned on 2012.

Besides this a Turkish company began to manufacture baby diapers,
trash bags, toilet paper and paper handkerchiefs in branded name
    Sarkozy, President of French Republic.

Turks tried to use another strong factor against France: they call on
French side to recognize the own Genocide and apologize for it. But
Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia urged Turkey to stop trying
to make political capital out of France's killing of thousands of
    Algerians during the colonial period.

French side just asked Turkey to respect their decisions.

Speaker of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek announced that
Turkish-French relations can not become pan-European and two countries
    must settle their problems themselves.

Remind, that French Senate will discuss the bill on criminalization
of Armenian Genocide denial on January 23. If it is approved the bill
will be presented to the French President to be signed.
