    The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs received the US Deputy
    Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia

    On January 27, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Eric Rubin,
    the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia.

    Welcoming the guest, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs
    expressed satisfaction with the deepening of the Armenian-American
    friendly partnership, underling that the progress achieved in the
    development of bilateral relations recently creates a good basis for
    the further strengthening and expanding of the interaction.

    Eric Rubin, on his part, mentioned that the United States highly
    assesses the partnership relations with Armenia and is interested in
    their further deepening, as well as intends to undertake efficient
    steps towards that direction. The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of
    State for Europe and Eurasia also noted, that the United States would
    continue the interaction with Armenia in establishing peace, promoting
    economic development and implementing reforms in the region.

    Edward Nalbandian and Eric Rubin had a thorough talk on the issues
    related to bilateral cooperation and regional problems.

    The sides touched upon the recent developments in the settlement of
    the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the Press, information and public
    relations department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the
    Republic of Armenia informs.
