The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Edvard Nalbandian and
Elmar Mamedyarov, held talks in Paris on Saturday with the mediation of
cochairman of the OSCE Minsk Group for the settlement of the Nagorno
    Karabakh conflict.

At the meeting the cochairmen pointed to the importance of reducing
tension between the conflicting sides, Interfax was told at the
Armenian Foreign Ministry press service on Sunday.

"As a working proposal the mediators put forward their ideas with
the purpose of promoting the process of the peaceful settlement of
the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The foreign ministers confirmed their
readiness to continue joint work with the mediators to achieve a
peaceful settlement. The ministers and mediators agreed to continue
their discussion during the upcoming tour of the region by the
cochairmen in November," the Foreign Ministry said.
