FOREIGN COMPANY BRANCHES IN ARMENIA SHOULD MAKE THEIR RULES CONFORM TO COUNTRY'S LAWS - EXPERT

    July 02, 2013 | 01:06

YEREVAN. - The foreign company branches and organizations that
function in Armenia should make their corporate rules conform to the
    laws in Armenia.

Corporate law specialist Artak Garoyan told the aforementioned to
    Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"I have come across cases when a foreign company has imposed its
working rules upon its branch in Armenia. [But] work is regulated
    differently in Armenia.

"As case in point, there exists a maximum working week concept here
[in Armenia]. There are clear limitations in the case of additional
    work, too.

"The [Armenia] branch [of a foreign company] is considered an Armenian
company, [and] therefore it must comply with the laws of Armenia,"
    Garoyan noted.
