YEREVAN. - More than 6,400 of the Armenian citizens who are unable
to travel from Armenia to Russia in the first quarter of the current
year, and due to the ban on their entry into the Russian Federation
(RF), had petitioned to the Armenian State Migration Agency (ASMA),
and with a request that a petition be submitted to the Russian side
for the lifting of this ban.

Agency head Gagik Yeganyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that 5,800 of
these petitions were sent to the Russian side.

"We receive fifty to sixty petitions each day. The ratio of the
positive outcomes has increased in recent times, and the period of
the [respective] deliberations has reduced," Yeganyan said and added:
"About 3,000 of the 5,800 petitions have had positive outcomes; that
is, the ban on [these petitioners'] entry into the RF has been lifted."

In his words, the ASMA is working daily so that the residents of
Armenia are permitted to travel to and work in Russia.
