YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS: "Tatev wings" rope way has passed to
the winter regime, the manager of the rope way Tigran Ghazaryan said
today at a news conference. "Usually passing from one side to another
lasts for 11 minutes but in case of strong wind, the region is quite
windy, the rope way's mechanism slows down and the time of passing to
the opposite part may last longer," Ghazaryan said, adding that with
its security system the rope way does not concede to Boing airplanes.

He said the rope way was constructed by the Swiss Garaventa-Doppelmayer
company which annually builds various rope ways throughout the
world. "I can say for sure that the "Tatev wings" are the most secure
transport in the whole Armenia," he said, adding that the rope way
serves 150-200 people daily.
