GEORGE BUSH'S STATEMENT AND AGGRAVATION OF ARMENIAN-AZERI RELATIONS INTERCONNECTED: ARMENIAN MP
YEREVAN, MARCH 7. ARMINFO. US President George Bush's statement
before American Legion veterans that it is necessary to support new
orange revolutions has alarmed the presidential circles in Armenia
and Azebaijan, says the president of the Union of Poltical Scientists
of Armenia, MP Hamayak Hovhannissyan.
He says that the new wave of tensions in Armenian-Azeri relations
is due to the wish of the authorities in Armenia and first of all
Azerbaijan to distract the public attention from internal problems.
The belicose statements by Azeri politicians and the reaction of
Armenia are just a wish to use the Karabakh conflict as a strait
jacket for thier people, says Hovhannissyan.
