HORSE FAST TROT FEDERATION FOUNDED IN ARMENIA
YEREVAN, APRIL 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The goal of the newly founded Hourse
Fast Trot Republican Federation is to develop that type of sports in
Armenia. Hayrapet Hayrapetian, the Federation Chairman who heads the
Equestrain Sports Republican Federation as well, stated about it at
the April 6 press conference.
Though this type of sports is not involved in the program of Olympic
Games, it is the basis of the equestrain sports. Horsemen's fast trot
competitions were held in Armenia ten years, from 1949-1959.
It was mentioned that horses of corresponding age and sort were got to
secure development of the type of sports in Armenia. Trot competition
lines with 1000 m, 1200 m and 1400 m length have already been founded
in the republican center of equestrain sports. The first republican
tournament dedicated to the Day of Mothers and Beauty was held just
here.
