HIS HOLINESS RECEIVES A DELEGATION
FROM THE ARMY COMMAND
The commander of the Lebanese Army, General Michel Souleiman, sent a
delegation of four senior military officials headed by Gen. Panoss Mandjian
to meet with His Holiness Aram I in Antelias on April 12.
Several important issues in which the Lebanese army has an important role
to play were discussed during the meeting. The Armenian Catholicos praised
the patriotic service of the army particularly in a period of sensitive
political developments. He reaffirmed the support of the Catholicosate of
Cilicia and the Armenian community of Lebanon for the Lebanese army, the
country's sovereignty and independence.
