5th international conference on the topic of "Towards Europe: situation
of justice in the South Caucasus and perspectives", organized by GTZ
will be held in Istanbul on April 16-17.
The forum is organized outside the TransCaucasus for the first time
and aims to use the experience of various countries in the sphere of
legal and judicial reforms. Turkey is invited to a dialogue for the
first time. Its experience with the German one may contribute to the
reforms, being implemented in the countries of South Caucasus.
Judges from all the instances of the courts of Armenia, Azerbaijan,
Georgia, Turkey and Germany, as well as lawyers and members of
international organizations will take part in the conference.
To remind, since 1993 by the instruction of the Federal Ministry of
economic cooperation and development of Germany the GTZ supports the
countries of the South Caucasus in the process of legal and judicial
reforms. For the purpose of ensuring economic and democratic stability
in the region the initiative invites Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan
for cooperation. The regional program of GTZ "Legal and judicial
reforms in the South Caucasus" form the main part of the initiative.
