GODFREY EXPECTS POLITICAL WILL FROM AUTHORITIES

Anthony Godfrey, charge d'affairs of U.S. ambassador in Armenia,
voiced his belief at Central Election Committee today that
sufficient conditions are created for "free, fair and transparent
elections." However, he said the authorities must demonstrate
"political will" and the public must go to elections. "I am optimistic
on what I see," he said. Godfrey also said they rely on OSCE/ODHIR
reports.
