CHIEF OF THE GENERAL STAFF TO BE APPOINTED AFTER MAY 9

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia will be
appointed after May 9, RA Defense Minister Mikhael Harutyunyan told
the reporters today.
In the Minister's words, before that the duties are carried out by
Enriko Apriamov, the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the
Armed Forces of Armenia. Mikhael Harutyunyan also noted that there
are many deserving Generals in the Armed Forces, who can occupy the
position of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. The
Minister did not rule out that NKR Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan
may be appointed to the position.
