GERMANY KEEN FOR PROMPT SETTLEMENT OF ARMENIAN-AZERBAIJANI NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT: NEW AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA

The newly-appointed Ambassador of Germany to Armenia, Andrea
Joana-Maria Wiktorin, stated on 13 August, during the handing
over of his credentials to the Foreign Minister of Armenia, Vardan
Oskanyan that Germany is interested in the prompt settlement of the
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"The Ambassador said that although Germany is not a co-chair to the
OSCE Minsk Group and has not been actively involved in the peaceful
settlement of the conflict, the Country is interested in the prompt
settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and establishing stability
in the region," the Press Department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry
informed ARKA.
At Wiktorin's request, the Armenian Foreign Minister briefly reported
on the negotiations process on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
