RA Commission on protection of economic competition studies the issue
of fluctuation of the rate on the internal prices in the republic.
As Chairman of the Commission Ashot Shahnazaryan told journalists,
the dram consolidation with respect to dollar in Armenia does not
cause cut in prices for import goods. However, the factor of rise of
the world prices for some goods should be also taken into account,
as it cannot cause price-cutting in Armenia's market. Therefore,
the whole market must be studied, Shahnazaryan said. He added that
the Commission is presently investigating the automobile and grain
markets of the republic. The market of the goods under investigation
will be extended in September. He thinks that the goods of social
importance should be considered first of all.
