PROSPECTS OF FIRST ARMENIAN PRESIDENT RETURNING TO POWER ARE NIL: LEADER OF NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY

Even if Armenian National Movement (ANM) party nominates a candidate
for president, particularly, ex-president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the
prospects of the party's return to power are actually nil, Leader of
the National Democratic Party of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan at the
Friday Discussion Club, Wednesday.
At the request of ArmInfo to comment on the recent actively spreading
rumors that the ex-president will return, Shavarsh Kocharyan advised
media to ask Levon Ter-Petrosyan if 'he is aware that he will return to
power.' In addition, a question arises: why should the first president
return? Whether he is to raise the same theses as 10 years ago saying
that Nagorny Karabakh must be transferred to Azerbaijan with a status
of maximal autonomy. 'The people does not need this,' he said.
