    Yerevan, August 2. ArmInfo. The highest level of net profit in the
    Banking system of Armenia over the first half year, 2007, was provided
    by 'HSBC Bank Armenia', Ardhshininvestbank and 'ACBA-Credit Agricole'
    Bank: 1.9 bln drams ($5.5 mln), 1.8 bln drams ($5.4 mln) and 1.4 bln
    drams ($4 mln), respectively.

    According to the data of Ranking of RA commercial banks, prepared by
    Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), the fourth place
    by this indicator has been taken by Armeconombank - 814.5 mln drams,
    the fifth place - by Unibank - 805.7 mln drams.

    By degree of profitability of assets (the share of net profit in
    assets - ROA), the leader is the Armenian Development Bank - 3,2%,
    the second place is taken by Ardshininvestbank - 2,6%, the third
    place by 'ACBA-Credit Agricole' - 2,4%, the fourth place by 'HSBC
    Bank Armenia' - 2,35% and the fifth place by Unibank - 2,34%. By
    level of the capital profitability (ROE), the leader is 'HSBC Bank
    Armenia' - 22,7%, the second place is taken by Ardshininvestbank -
    14,8%, the third place - by Unibank - 13,7%, the fourth place - by
    Armeconombank - 11,3% and the fifth place - by Armbusinessbank - 10,2%.

    The total undistributed profits of Armenia's banking system made up
    10.1 bln drams ($29.7 mln) upon results of the first half year, 2007,
    having increased by 23% per year, and almost 7 times as compared
    with 2003.

    According to the reporting data of 21 acting banks, all the banks
    without exception completed the first half year, 2007, with profit. The
    total capital of the banking system over the first half year, 2007,
    grew by 17%, and by 37% per year, more than twice as compared with
    2004, to 139.9 bln drams ($410.4 mln) as of June 30. In addition,
    the annual growth of this indicator has been provided due to both
    the profit increase and growth of the authorized capital - by 41%
    per year, to 92.1 bln drams ($270.1 mln) by the end of June, 2007. By
    replenishment of the authorized capital, the leader is ACBA-Credit
    Agricole Bank, which increased this indicator by 732% per year. In
    general, replenishment of the authorized fund per year (the first
    half year, 2007, as compared with the similar period, 2006) has been
    assured by 10 commercial banks, while no changes of this indicator
    have been fixed per the rest 11 ones. A considerable half-year growth
