Entrance examination period of Artsakh State and Armenian State
Universities for the places allocated to Artsakh has come to an end.
What conclusions does the NKR Minister of Education, Culture and Sport
Kamo Ataian give? The important conclusion about the examination period
consists in the following: the centralized system gradually should give
the place to a new system of an estimation of knowledge. I think the
centralized system has already settled itself and the earlier we shall
be released from it, the better becomes for educational system.. The
second moment concerns the control. In RA it operates 6-7 years, this
year for the first time we have tried to realize it. I think it has
played a positive role. However, there were also negative phenomena
which have been caused by the mechanism of the control and by the
steps aimed at organizing impartially the examinations applied by
us. As to displeasures, concerning that the members of the commission
transfered the ciphers, I uniquivocally deny it. I can tell that
I constantly visited examination audiances and if really similar
phenomena took place they could inform on it to me. Both a memebr
of the commission and called and those who used phones and ciphers,
would be deduced from the examination process.
Besides, let's not forget that the course of examinations was removed
and showed on the monitor. Hearings about a plenty of appeals go
also. Each examination, naturally, should have appeals and they
should not have formal character. I'll tell that all cases are
possible.Anyhow, all these hearings and probably the big interest from
the society speak that we have tried to carry out deeper control over
the examinations. Moreover, we have shown liberalism. I think there was
a rough examination period, there were defects too, but as a whole,
it is possible to consider that the most worthy have appeared on the
places. Artsakh State University is one of support of development of
NKR and it can be strong only owing to correct and objective selection
of the future students. It is our superpurpose to which we aspire.
