GROWTH OF NET INCOME OF "ARMENTEL" EXCEEDED 300%

Yerevan, November 30 /Mediamax/. The revenues of "ArmenTel" Company
in the third quarter of 2007 made $ 63mln 277 thousands, $25mln 723
thousands of which fell on the share of the mobile connection, and
$37mln 554 thousands - on the share of the fixed connection.
Mediamax reports that the report, following the results of the
financial and operations activity of "VimpelCom" in the third quarter
of 2007, reads this.
The revenues growth of "ArmenTel", as compared to the second quarter,
made 8.4%.
The OIBDA index (Operating Income before Depreciation and
Amortization) of "ArmenTel" in the third quarter of 2007 made $32mln
888 thousands. The growth of OIBDA, as compared to the second quarter,
made 9.4%.
The net income of "ArmenTel" in the third quarter made $15mln 961
thousands. In the second quarter the given index stood at $3mln 963
thousands. The growth of the net income made 302.8%.
The number of active subscribers of the mobile network of "ArmenTel"
in the third quarter of 2007 made 446 957. The number of active
subscribers reduced by 5.1%, as compared to the second quarter,
when the Company had 471 000 active subscribers.
The share of "ArmenTel" in the mobile connection market of Armenia
stood at 33.6% in the third quarter.
"The main problem area, which causes our concern, is the share
of market of subscribers in the mobile market of Armenia. We have
already taken up a number of measures, directed to strengthening our
competitive positions. And although there are already the first signs
of positive influence of those measures, it will take us some time
to fully use the effect of the realized measures", the report reads.
The average revenue per user (ARPU) of the mobile network of "ArmenTel"
Company made $17.6 in the third quarter, having increased as compared
to the second quarter for 1.7%.
The average revenue per user (ARPU) of the fixed network of "ArmenTel"
Company made $20.4 in the third quarter of 2007, having increased
for 5.7% as compared to the second quarter.
The number of "ArmenTel" fixed connection subscribers in the third
quarter made 616 175, having increased as compared to the second
quarter for 1.0%.
