MINI FAIRS TO BE CREATED IN ALL YEREVAN COMMUNITIES ON NEW YEAR EVE

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. Mini fairs will be created in
all Yerevan communities between December 15 to January 10 on the
initiative of Yerevan Mayor's Office. They will be provided to traders
free of charge. As Karen Gevorgian, the Head of the Trade and Service
Department of Yerevan Mayor's Office, said at the December 3 press
conference, the population will be informed in advance where those
fairs are for them to do New Year shopping from there and not from
the streets. According to him, points of meat sale will be paid a
special attention to exclude sale of overdue meat.
Sale points will be also created for those selling firtrees and trade
will be carried out only after receiving the respective permission
by prefectures. In case of not receiving a permission the sale of
firtrees will be prohibited.
This year also the Mayor's Office will hold a contest of New Year
design of trade service entities. Special prizes are envisaged for
those organizing public catering and retail trade. The latters will
receive diplomas of Yerevan Mayor's Office. The results of the contest
will be summed up on January 13, 2008.
