    Dress rehearsal report [Day 7]

After the Eurovision tune the viewers will see an impression of The
Netherlands and water. The show will be opened by the dancers of
Lucia Marthas and the hosts entered the stage from the top of Ahoy in
an big umbrella. Like last year televoting will be open right from
the start of the show. The Georgians will open the fifth JESC and
they impressed. Mariam got a good voice and a catchy song. Belgium is
next and they performed very strong with good vocals like in the
rehearsals. Armenia seems to be the big favourite among the polls and
bets, but failed to impress us this afternoon.

Fourth is Cyprus and a performance which resembles Edsilia's one in
Helsinki. The song is quite catchy and well sung. Portugal is fifth
and, altough well performed, might be a bit too 'adult' for the
viewers. The first break is between Portugal and Russia. Host Sipke
Jan will talk with some of the participants in the 'green room' next
to the stage. Russia's song is like last year's, well performed, but
we think last year's one was better. 4Kids from Romania got a catchy
song, well performed, although a bit screamy. Bulgaria might get the
Barbara Dex-Award, if one existed for the JESC. The song though is
    fun and well sung.

Serbia's next with a big ballad and a good vocal performance by
Nevena. The host country is next and their performance is quite good.
FYR Macedonia didn't get good results the couple of years, but there
might be a change this year. A good performance, catchy song and
wasn't there a song called Ding-a-dong which won the Eurovision Song
Contest 32 years ago? Another break after FYR Macedonia where the
hosts look back at the first years of the Junior Eurovision Song
Contest. Song 12 is from the Ukraine. A very strong performance and a
contender for first place. Lots to see her, hopefully it doesn't
distract the viewers too much. Sweden 's next with a song by the
sister of last year's participant. If you want it or not, compared to
her sister, this song is weaker, although well performed. Mid-table?

Time for some girl power with first Malta. Again catchy, well
performed, three minutes of fun. Next is Greece, and like in some of
the rehearsals it wasn't that good. The vocals weren't the best and
the song, compared to the one from Malta, isn't better as well. After
the songs and the recap it's time for Katie Melua and her song If you
were a sailboat. The countdown for televoting nears, and after that
Ch!pz takes the stage to perform the theme song Make a big splash.
Next up is the joint performance of all the performers and their song
One World. And finally we'll get to the voting with the 1-5 points on
screen and the 6-12 spoken out by the spokespersons of the 17
    countries.
