`MY REQUEST TO FUTURE PRESIDENT' PROGRAM STARTED
Today started the first round of `My Request to Future President'
program organized by the British Embassy and `Transparency
International Armenia' NGO. `We started this program in November 1,
and we informed the secondary schools of Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor,
Goris,' said Amalya Kostanyan, the president of `Transparency
International Armenia' NGO.
According to her, the pupils of ten form have a chance to prepare one
question to the future president. `The program has three stages; the
first one is the above mentioned, the authors of the best question
will pass to the second stage and an interview will be conducted with
them, and those who will get to the third final stage will take part
in a TV show and they can give the prepared questions there,' said
A. Kostanyan. Only clear, unique, brief, and interesting questions
will be passed to the final stage.
The pupils are less dependent from the government and political
forces, and that is why the program is conducted within the
pupils. `The results of the first stage will be summarized during this
week, and the rest stages will be finished in the end of this month.
We still negotiate with the TV-s about the broadcasting issues,' said
the president of the NGO.
Note that 420 pupils participate in the program from 95 schools. 240
pupils are from Yerevan and 30-40 pupils will be recognized as
winners. Members from the British Embassy, NGO-s and ministries will
lead the commission, and make final decisions.
