ITALIAN NEW MILITARY ATTACHE APPOINTED TO ARMENIA
Today Defense Minister Michael Harutunyan received
Italian ambassador to Armenia Massimo Lavetso
Cassinelli and General Antonio Zambuko. The meeting
was connected with the appointment of General Zambuko
in Armenia as a military attaché.
In the words of defense ministry press secretary,
Harutunyan voiced his hope that the military
cooperation will boost on both sides during the tenure
of Mr. Zambuko.
During the meeting, the sides reflected on the
bilateral political and economic cooperation between
the two countries underscoring the necessity to deepen
that cooperation in the military. The general
expressed readiness to support the military reforms in
Armenia, particularly in the introduction of special
civil service. He suggested deepening military
cooperation in military education, military medicine,
peacekeeping operation and preparation of military
pilots.
