LEVON TER-PETROSYAN REFUSED INVITATION OF TV COMPANY

The president of Yerevan Press Club Boris Navasardyan stated December
10 at the Friday Club despite lack of parity on TV channels which do
not cover the activities of the opposition sufficiently or mention
negatively, the TV channels nevertheless invite the presidential
candidates to talk shows.
However, Boris Navasardyan says they often get refusals. The president
of Yerevan Press Club said he has learned from a reliable source
that one of the TV channels had invited Levon Ter-Petrosyan for an
interview but he refused. Raffi Hovannisian also refuses invitations
to talk shows. Boris Navasardyan says he refuses because he has not
made up his mind which presidential candidate to support, therefore
he avoids appearing on TV.
The president of Yerevan Press Club also mentioned Serge Sargsyan,
saying that he also avoids interviews except with foreign media or
questions agreed on beforehand, two activists, Artashes Geghamyan and
Arthur Baghdasaryan, according to Boris Navasardyan, do not refuse
to hold interviews although the technical issues related to agreement
are often complicated.
