RECENT PROPOSALS WORRY

The Heritage Party is worried by the recent proposals of the OSCE Minsk
Group co-chairs regarding the settlement of the Karabakh conflict,
stated the secretary of the Heritage Party Vardan Khachatryan on
December 10 at the Pastark club.
"The proposals are dangerous, they carry potential danger. Because
there are statements, such as election of local governments among
displaced Azerbaijanis, who must represent their territories, and
we see an obligation to sign a document on the eve of the elections,
in other words, to determine the developments on this basis," Vardan
Khachatryan says.
According to him, we may again appear in a situation that occurred
in 1998, which is highly complicated. "I mean the recognition of the
territorial integrity of the Azerbaijani republic creates considerable
complications for us. There are such complications in the proposal
of the co-chairs. The proposal carries a statement recommending to
exclude what we do not agree to and sign what we do not decline,"
Vardan Khachatryan says. According to him, this will cause dangerous
developments for Armenia.
