AZERI FM: MILITARY SOLUTION OF KARABAKH CONFLICT DELUSION

said he stands against military resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict. The peaceful process should go on, use of force is a big
mistake, he said.
Analitika.az remarks that "it would be interesting to know the
reaction of Defense Minister Safar Abiyev who announced official
Baku's readiness to use force to liberate the territories seized by
Armenians and rated probability of war as nearly 100%. Perhaps, the
Azeri sides, as represented by two Ministers, demonstrates the whole
scope of possibilities, each doing his job - diplomatic and military,
the edition says.
Here is another remarkable extract from Mammadyarov speech: "Our
negotiators raise public awareness among Armenians and explain the
essence of their national interests. To all appearance, Armenians
haven't made up their mind yet or our diplomats' work is not
sufficient."
