AMBASSADOR OF EGYPT VISITS THE MOTHER SEE OF HOLY ETCHMIADZIN

December 13 at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin the Catholicos
of All Armenians Garegin II hosted the newly appointed Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to
Armenia Vahid Al-Din Ismail Galal.
During the meeting His Holiness turned to the close relations between
Armenia and Egypt. On this occasion the Catholicos expressed his
appreciation and gratitude to the Ambassador for the friendly attitude
toward the Egyptian-Armenian community. His Holiness also recalled
his pontifical visit to Egypt in 2000.
During the conversation reference was made to the role of the Armenian
Church in the inter-church and inter-religious dialogue.
At the end of the meeting His Holiness Garegin II wished every success
to the Ambassador in his mission.
