OVER 63,400 ARD CASES RECORDED IN ARMENIA IN JAN-OCT 2007

YEREVAN, December 13. /ARKA/. A total of 63,449 cases of acute
respiratory diseases (ARD) were recorded in Armenia in January-October
2007 against 64,318 in the corresponding period last year.
The RA Statistical Service reports that 42,600 of the ARD patients were
children under 14 against 41,200 in the corresponding period last year.
During the period under review, 1,969.8 ARD cases per 100,000 of
Armenia's population were recorded, with 6,558.9 ARD cases per 100,000
children recorded in the country.
