NEWLY SET UP COMMITTEE TO STUDY COMMODITY PRICES

Yesterday a discussion was held at the Armenian Prime Minister Serzh
Sargsyan on the results of studies on commodity market. Several top
officials took part in the discussion, among them minister of finance
and economy, minister of trade and economic development, chairmen of
the central bank, customs state committee and several others.
Government information and public relations department informs that
the prime minister was interested why the prices of some goods not only
do not go down but also go up in the case when the dollar depreciates.
Sargsyan pointed out that more coordinated work is needed among state
governance bodies to prevent such facts.
The prime minister assigned to set up a committee composed of
representatives of ministries, customs and tax services, economic
protection state committee to study the prices of goods in the market.
