TV STATIONS INDEPENDENT: THEY SELL BROADCAST WHO/ HOW/ HOW MUCH THEY WANT

Today Central Electoral Committee held a usual meeting; Sona Sargsyan,
the representative of "Country of Laws" (Orinats Yerkir) party offered
CEC to define the form which the TV stations use when selling broadcast
to the candidates. The representative of the party also offered to
define the candidates who can dispose the broadcast and leave the
rest for another time. Besides S. Avagyan offered to limit the pre
election campaign from 19.30 - 20.30.
Central Election Committee did not accept her proposals. According
to Garegin Azaryan, the president of CEC, the TV stations are free
to decide themselves who to sell the broadcast to, how to do it,
and how much to sell it. And it is banned by election code to fix
the time of the election campaign.
