Azerbaijani Foreign Minister approves proposal on establishment of
Subcommittee on `frozen conflicts' in PACE

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov approves proposal on
the establishment of Subcommittee on `frozen conflicts' in
Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE), APA reports.

Mr. Mammadyarov said in his interview to Azerbaijani TV channels that
the establishment of such committee would cause formation of
objective opinion in international organizations about the conflict
and help to the solution of the conflict in the end.
`Council of Europe is also interested in the solution to Nagorno
Karabakh conflict. The establishment of such committee would be in
favor of the work,' he said.
Minister stressed that solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict is
priority in the foreign policy of Azerbaijan.
Andres Herkel, PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan
initiated proposal on the establishment of Subcommittee on `frozen
conflicts' in PACE. /APA/
