RUSSIA-ORIENTED PARTIES NOT ABLE TO PROTEST THE MURDERS
Yerevan, January 31. Arminfo. "The pro-Russian orientation of some
Armenian parties prevents them from protesting against murders of
Armenians in Russian Federation, " Narek Galstyan, Head of "Sargis
Tkhruni" youth-student branch of "Hnchakyan" opposition
social-democratic party, told journalists at the protest act held at
the Russian Embassy in Yerevan today.
He said that about 20 public organizations and youth branches of
opposition parties will hold protest acts in case there is no relevant
reaction of Russian law enforcement bodies and official figures on the
case of murders of Armenians in Russia.
N. Galstyan said that the reason of the small amount of present
protesters is grounded on Armenians' loyalty towards Russia and the
fact that the act was organized spontaneously.
"When there are meetings against Turkey, everyone joins them. Armenia
repeatedly was called Russia's outpost. This means that it is not a
president but a general governor sitting at the head of the country
having no desire to point at mistakes of the high superiors. We are
citizens of the independent Armenia and not somebody's outpost," he
emphasized.
Note, about 30 people took part at the protest act held at the Embassy
of Russian Federation in Yerevan today.
