KHOSROV HAROUTIUNIAN: BARGAVACH HAYASTAN PARTY HAS GREAT POTENTIAL OF POPULATION'S CONFIDENCE

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 15, NOYAN TAPAN. "One needs great courage in order
to be able to form a new party with political forces in such a short
period, under conditions of people's disappointment." Armen Rustamian,
representative of Supreme Body of ARFD Armenia, Chairman of NA Standing
Committee on Foreign Policy Affairs, declared this in his greeting
speech addressed to the participants of third special congress of
Bargavach Hayastan (Prosperous Armenia) Party held on February 15. In
his words, today country's political forces have an important task:
to control the process of forthcoming parliamentary elections and
not to permit falsifications.
Khosrov Haroutiunian, Chairman of Christian-Democratic Union of
Armenia, stated that the Bargavach Hayastan newly founded party
managed to achieve population's confidence in such a short period. "The
party came to this congress having a great potential of population's
confidence, which meanwhile obliges," K. Haroutiunian declared.
Among the congress guests were Armenian Prime Minister, Chairman
of Republican Party of Armenia Andranik Margarian, Head of RPA
parliamentary faction Galust Sahakian, Head of RA President's Staff
Armen Gevorgian, Chairman of United Labor Party Gurgen Arsenian,
ARFD Bureau representative Hrant Margarian, Board member of National
Unity Party Gagik Tadevosian, representatives of People's Party of
Armenia and Orinats Yerkir (Country of Law) Party.
