ARCHBISHOP VIGEN HAIKAZYAN TO REPRESENT ECHMIADZIN AT MEETING OF EXECUTIVE OF WORLD COMMITTEE OF CHURCHES IN GENEVA

A person-in-charge of inter-confessional relations of the Eastern
Eparchy of USA, the archbishop Vigen Haikazyan will represent Holy
Echmiadzin at the coming session of the Executive of the World
Committee of Churches on Feb 27 - Mar 2 in Geneva.
As the press-service of Echmiadzin told ArmInfo, it is envisaged
to discuss the issues of the coming 10th congress of ECC, as well
as the 10th anniversary of violation negotiation. (2001-2010) at
the meeting. The problems of proliferation of nuclear weapon, the
situation in Africa and the role of the Church in these circumstances
will be also discussed, the message notes.
