AZERI MFA PRESS SECRETARY RESPONDS TO VARTAN OSKANIAN'S STATEMENT

Azeri MFA Press Secretary Tahir Tagizadeh said today that "the issue
of the right for self-determination of the people of Nagorno Karabakh
completely falls within the principle of territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan. According to Mediamax agency, this was how Tagizadeh
commented on the statement of Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan
Oskanian that "in case of demonstration of necessary political will
by Azerbaijan and recognition of the right for self-determination
of the people of Nagorno Karabakh we can agree on the fundamental
principles of conflict settlement."
Press Secretary of the Azeri MFA said that the Armenian side
should also demonstrate political will for achieving progress in
the negotiations.
