Consultations in Yerevan City Hall

Capital Yerevan should become an attractive and convenient city for
living and working. We should try to have minimum discontent
citizens. This was how President Kocharyan expressed his anticipations
from the Yerevan Municipality during today's working consultations in
the City Hall where the results of 2006 and the deeds for 2007 were
discussed.
The President said qualitative change is evident in the activity of
the Municipality, increase of the volume of work is also
evident. However, the economic growth of the country and the dynamic
development of the capital city suggest new problems, which should be
addressed. In particular, the President turned to the issues of
traffic in the capital and development of infrastructures.
Robert Kocharyan suggested the Municipality to pay attention to the
issue of increasing the investment attractiveness of the capital city.
Turning to the 2007 program of development of capital Yerevan
presented by Mayor Yervand Zakharyan, Robert Kocharyan said there
exists corresponding financial and staff potential for accomplishment
of the program.
