SEPTEMBER 11 BRINGS RECOGNITION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE CLOSER
The fight against terrorism is a step towards recognition of the
Armenian genocide, Richard Kirakosyan, an analyst, told Hayeli Club
today also saying those who did not recognize the genocide have
changed their opinion after September 11.
In his words, one of the most correct ideas of Hrant Dink, editor of
`Agos' newspaper who was assassinated in Turkey, was that it is not
enough that Council of Europe and U.S. Congress recognize the
genocide. Turkey must accept it as well.
Speaking about possible diplomatic relations between Armenia and
Turkey, the analyst said Armenia has already expressed her readiness
and it is the turn of Turkey now.
